End of Life Products – EOL
In the life cycle of hardware or software products there are three points in time that must be recognized:
- End of Sale – When the manufacturer stops selling that specific model / product.
- End of Support – When the manufacturer discontinues support that was provided for the models / products purchased.
- End of Life – When the manufacturer officially removes the model / product from circulation.
In the last state (EoL), the main difficulty for those interested in securing the model / product is in locating it, since the model / product is no longer being manufactured, sold, and / or supported by the manufacturer.
